Caprese Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 2 fresh mozzarella sliced into rounds
  • 2 tomatoes sliced into rounds
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Arrange alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella on a large serving platter, curving them slightly to form a candy cane shape.
  • Slip fresh basil leaves between some of the layers to add color and brightness.
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil and a swirl of balsamic glaze.
  • Season with a small pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Serve right away as a festive holiday appetizer.
